has anyone had upper fork stanchions tubes rechromed with any success? any recommendations?

I had the forks.re chromed on my white s2. Honestly the re pop.tubes are cheaper... I paid almost 300 bucks and had to.drive an hour each way to have them.done

hmm, early model H1 repros are going for $275 plus shipping (about $50). maybe i am better off going repro... hmm

rechoming fork tubes is a specialist operation. The tubes need to be verified straight and then the pitts are removed by removing the material in a centreless grinder.The tubes then get a hard chrome finish to the original size and then polished. Google "Forking by Frank " probably a better deal

Google "Forking by Frank " probably a better deal I sent forks out and they did all this for less money and less hassle than Forks by Frank(god bless him) He has great products but the whole pay by money order and shipping times kills it for me.
