Early H1 repro fork tubes are/were available for around $150 a pair, hence makes re-chroming originals redundant if the repros are still available.... Edit: OOOPS, they've gone up in price : www.midatlanticcycle.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=340BTW, If you do find a chroming shop willing to strip and re chrome you do not want a show chrome finish. Remembering from years back, the chopper boy's fork seals always leaked (kinda like putting new piston rings in a glazed cylinder). J

That's probably cheaper than rechrome - especially if you have pitting in them.

Did you check with Jess and see if he can give you a better deal? kawi2strokes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=760 You wont find any one better to deal with. Perhaps he has a set of new fork tubes that are not Ceriani and cost less. I bought new tubes from him for my H1D/F and they were about 100 bucks.

Andre has them for $129.00. When I was looking for a show chrome place, I went to North American Hard Chrome in Oakville and they will do fork tubes for $150 to $200 each! But no show chrome.

Sorry, looks like Andre's are not for the '70.
