Why the big discrepancy? To be honest, I'm getting tired of eBay sellers that do this! There is no reason for it! There are so many $10 parts out there that want $80 for shipping, it's getting to be ridiculous! What's the rational? Are they hoping someone is stupid enough to hit bin without looking or is it their way of telling Canadians to fuk off??? They should add karma to eBay for sellers that just fukin annoy you!

Ahhhh hes just a knucklehead who typed in the wrong amount. I guess none of us has told him yet? All his similar items are around 80 bucks to Canuckistan. But I definatly agree about a-hole sellers who fugg people up with bogus inflated shipping charges. I have people email me when I refund excess shipping they pay. They must think Im a wierdo hahaha No comments needed thanks.

I was under the impression that ebay generates the shipping quote. I never go by that figure, and always contact the seller for a quote.

I never bother with contacting the seller.... Maybe I should??? I always Paypal at checkout and the quoted shipping is automatically added to total.

I have not bought anything on ebay for about a year so maybe things have changed, but I always contact the seller for a quote. I then get him to send me a payal money request with that shipping quote added to the sale price.

I believe the reason shipping is so high on items for two reasons...
1- it's be a use eBay now takes fees from sellers of their shipping because people were making up shipping quotes and making extra cash... So eBay takes 6/8 % of the shipping cost... So they make money too... The final value fee they charge is 9% or 8% I can't remember.... But it costs less to sell when they add the cost of the part Into shipping costs... Saves sellers money... They almost reverse the cost...ie. shipping is actual cost of part and the cost of part is shipping... Essentially..
2- they charge shipping at highest dollar because it offers track #. Because sellers have very little protection when they ship items.....

I want to ditch the 1980 KZ forks and swap to something I can put the larger dia rotor and finally use my EX caliper conversion on. Like Lou's setup on his H2 in the pic here. Does yours have a functioning speedo drive too? Mines buggered.

Because sellers have very little protection when they ship items..... Perhaps a closer look at the final value-shipping fees is in order? When shipping internationally, they DO NOT base the fee on the full international postage value. It is based on the domestic rate you chose for that listing. Fees blow but as it has been said many times, they are the best game in town so we have to endure the cost of doing business. Ebay fees have no corolation to a seller choice of not shipping abroad. Some get burned or have a bad experience with a package sent to Canada or abroad and say screw it. Or they dont care to do the extra paperwork for customs etc. If stupid ebay sellers used the tools provided, they would be less hesitant to ship to the Great White North. OR.... maybe they just know some of you guys..... lolololol
