A little boiling vinegar, a little carb cleaner, a little Alumibright, a couple of hours work. New carb kit ( clean and reuse old jets ) and Voila'....clean carb. Thanks to the advice from members in the archives. Attachments:

Did you check the floats to make sure there are no pinholes in them?

Ya Curtis she's coming along. Been spending half my time on the 52'MG , getting her ready for the upcoming driving season putting the rebuilt engine back in. Got the S2 tank sealed at Hamilton radiator as per your advice.I figure the S2 should be ready for the road in another month after carb sync tuning and timing ( which I will have to educate my self on ! ) It will 40 years since I bought my first used s2 back in the summer of 73. Ain't life strange ? s1178.photobucket.com/user/keithmac200/media/P3290027.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
