Hi guys, so I'm taking the engine off of my KH500 to work on the engine transmission. While I have it off, I'm wondering if I could or should get it bead or glass blasted. Someone tried to black out the fins, so although it's sort of clean on the outside, in between the fins is uneven black. Is it expensive to blast it? Do I have to do a ton of work to prepare for it to be blasted as far as disassembly goes? Anywhere here in Toronto someone can recommend? I'd rent the machine and do it myself but I really have no space for it.
Thanks!
PS If anyone knows where I can get some 2" springs for the chamber pipes, that would be nice too. Thanks!

There is a board member in Mississauga that has a blasting service... His name escapes me right now though. Maybe Zambia will chime in? Also, JRD on the board may have springs for sale.

Brian is the guy you are looking for. He did my jugs and heads. Cant remember exactly what it was but I know it was under $100.00. Came out looking brand new. He does it in his spare time so you get it when you get it. Great guy and knows his stuff.

As matter of fact the last time I talked to him he was kicking around selling a pretty solid KH400 at a very reasonable price. Could be an S3. Rob.

Sh*thead (Brian) is the man.. He did all my blasting for my CB400f and my RD350. I like to put old bolts in all threaded holes. His prices were great too.

You could give Steve a call Jim at The Painters Edge . They painted my tins . I am sure they could bead or glass a bike frame . My frame was powder coated and so was done at there other shop up in Aurora .
