Personal preference of course but given the choice of new over old stock... It's new all the way as everything degrades over time including seals in a bag. The only real question is by how much and how soon will this affect you realistically. I've run almost 5000 thousand miles so far with crank seals from Andre and the D is running great. Just my experience and I'm sure the other boyz will chime in shortly

I have used NOS crank seals with no issues and have used Andres seals in My H1B with 14000 miles plus there in my H2B and NOS in my S2A as well in my sons old S2A.

7 years on Sudco KH500, 5 years on the B. 20,ooo k combined they work perfect.
I got some "Aftermarket" exhaust flange gaskets for my sled. First thing I notice is that they have a smaller diameter hole for the exhaust to pass thru than the collector or the port does. I would imagine this mis-match would have robbed me 15-20 hp. Sometimes you can't beat the real thing. Am trying steel to steel mount with ultra copper. I can see a mess coming

Am trying steel to steel mount with ultra copper. I can see a mess coming Don, I've put a lot of miles on my H2 with the chamber adapters mounted (steel to aluminum) using ordinary silicone sealer (not the more expensive "high temperature" stuff). They have never leaked at that joint. The last time I installed them that way was in 1980. I took the joints apart a couple years ago, and the silicone was still in good condition.

Thanks. I have my fingers crossed. The sled is two flat mating surfaces. I used the Hi-Heat as I had it already. So I spread a super thing layer on both halves and allowed it to tak up. Then I laid a thin bead about center of the mating surface circle. Then I only hand snugged the 6 bolts holding the collector to the cylinders. I will let it sit a few days then I'll torque it. Never tried without a gasket before...... I did keep them in case I want to revert. I can use a dremel and hog them out if needed. I got so sick of yanking my KH pipes this spring due to the flange breaking I never sealed the centre right the last time. No sealer at all and to this day not a drop of oil is splooging out. My braze job has held since the week me Soup and the girls rode to Grand bend and back.
