My kickstarter lever has a slight bow in 2 planes. What's the best way to straighten it? I was thinking using oxy-acetylene in a vice to bend it back, but am concerned that it might be more prone to bending after a normalizing heat cycle. What have others done?

Do you need to straighten it? My H2C had a deliberate bend to clear the chambers..looked and worked fine.

It still works ok, but sticks outboard a bit much for my liking, my leg rubs against it. I remember the s bend in your old C. There's none on ebay, and I don't know which kz750 model one is compatible with the H2 splined shaft.

Just beat it with a large hammer on an anvil, one or two decent blows will straighten it up. Won't damage the chrome as much as heating either...

Kawasaki just gives a assembly number for the lever which is only for H2's. browney out
