We are working on a resto mod 73 H1D in the shop right now. And interested in knowing if they have a gas tank that would look a little more race oriented yet still fit the stock frame ? While I am at it .We are welcome to any suggestions you guys might have for a gas tank for the bike. Like I said, fitting to a stock frame, seat is a race style seat so fitting with stock seat not an really an issue.Maybe some pictures or links for a suitable tank ? See what we can come up with ?

Denis is in Australia where several of his frames have been competing . Interesting Note Of all the frames Denis has made not one has been sold in Canada . Denis has used my spare H1 & Suzy GT 750 case the help make final adjustments on those race replica/Race frames. They also make alloy tanks, oil tanks etc Plus they can straighten frames. Small shop ,not what you expect.

I did get a very nice, quick and friendly reply from Denis. Very informative. I can see they do good work. Discussing with the owner of the H1 and suggesting a custom tank. Leave it up to him on choice/decision. We just completed a top end rebuild and got to make use of our boring bar, opening up the cylinders and installed a set of OEM .020 pistons. He has a set of Wirges pipes that are in very good condition. They are the ones with the extra internal baffle. If we don't change the pipes we will probably cut them, remove that baffle and shorten the belly.Turning out to be a really nice project.

Trevor the Wirges pipe rebuild project turned out very well.We removed the extra baffles. And shortened the center belly section.Re-welded the pipes back together and moved the mounting brackets. And then reinstalled them back on the bike. There are a few pictures in the Projects Thread on the H1 500 Resto Mod.The green H1 500.Not only does this pipe mod make the pipes less restrictive, it also takes off some weight.
