Here are some photos of my triple in the assembly stages . First one is of my 72 H1B . Bought this off E Bay ( location Toronto) earlier this year . Had 6,800 miles on it but was totaly disassembled . the owner broke a piston and damaged a inner crank seal . So basically all it needs is a re assembly . What did I buy it for ..$ 240 Canadian . I am surprised no one from the Toronto area bid on it as I was the only Bidder . The next pic shows my 71 H1A been put together . Now this one required a bunch of parts . I did the motor for this guy about 8 yrs ago But never ran . There it sat until this year . Bought for $ 400 This is my 73 S2A Bought off E Bay . The seller lived just down the road . The motor was toast . Crank bearings well there was non!!!! One piston shattered . So New pistons and rings and I'm good to go . Thanks to Ralph who supplied a crank and to Don for the seat as the original seat was rotted thru. For 12.000 miles this S2A had a very and I mean Very hard life . E Bay pic and now you will see the paint came off with a wax job. All I need now is the tail section with the white striping on it .( don't want to re paint) Ian

Hahaha Good try Don...
I have had several offers to buy this one BUT refused . I just love the looks of the 72 H1's , never thought I would own one in nice shape .
The 350 is another one I liked as a young man ..AAAhhh the good ol days .
O yes I paid $237 for the S2a .
The prices for pistons are crazy ..I paid $45 for 1 from Andre at reproduction decals ( Good deal I thought ) Paid $ 67 ands 65 U.S for piston and rings from Purple Haze racing re OUCH . Just bought a piston from E Bay for $45..good deal .
Now the wait for the gasket kit. Ian

Well so far the weather has been good for working on the bikes . finally got the 71 H1 out of the basement . Still need a rear sprocket , tank and side cover painted and a few other minor stuff . Thought the throttle cables were good until I tried to hook everything up only to discover frayed cables ..GGrrr. Anyway here is an update photo .

Siris, I see someone found em for you. They are mail order. You can PU. Funny place, you go in a door into a small room, 7x7 and wait for someone to come from upstairs. Always phone in first as they will find and make up a bill and leave it in the "small room" for pick-ups only. Watch the google map.it's wrong, close but wrong. Also there is a McBrine crst, ave, rd, st, rue, place and probably more all in the same area
Nice looking bike Ian, what are those front brakes like, the drums, you know for stopping? I've heard bad rumors surrounding their use twice and "Jesus take the Bars", for the next stop. I had a Panhead with Drums frt and back. What a piece of iron that was to stop, you sure run out of road quicker than with discs

Ihaven't set the front brakes up yet as this is not the wheel I'm going to use . I have a nicer one in the basement awaiting a tire . I have also heard those brakes were so so even the testers of the day commented on them . They fade quickly I guess.
Just came back from a 100K ride to the Kawi dealer to pick up some items including the last a the crank bearings for my 72 . Of the weather was good until the last 25 Ks then it rained ..frigging cold as well . Stopped in to see my son ( Trent University) on the way home , warmed up and it was Ok weather wise for the ride home ..
The things we do for Triples ..lol
