That's looking good Dan!
Lets hear about the dual front brakes...
Major stopping power on a 400!!
My 400 started out very much the same way. A few boxes of parts and a frame I brought home in a Pontiac Firefly believe it or not! The stock handle bar was a little bent and I couldn't get the hatch closed so I chopped some of it off in order to close it.
If I ever get my shit together I'll get my 400 going again...
Keep us posted on your progress Dan!

looking good, it's come a long way from the pile of parts you started with!! In regards to Zambia's question, those shocks, are they stock with the reflector caps removed?

Dan.. the reason for my question is.. I need some just like that. I recently bought some beauty NOS Redwings for my '72 H2 - went through h3ll to get them shipped, but alas they're a tiny bit too fat for the bike. They will fit my S3, so they might end up there..but I'm still looking looking for a set for the '72. Now the 'bike has good shocks, it's just that they're black and (said with a pathetic whiney voice)..I want chrome.

so ....are these for the H2 .... its all very easy.....need to just source the parts as its all plug and play... the forks, disk, and bolts are from the KH400 and the 5/8 master and 4 way junction is from the KZ series....I picked a 1978 KZ650 C2 model ....and Rick will soon make up steel brake lines ...

If the forks are KH400 and BOTH sides have the caliper mounts, then the left-side caliper will be in the stock position ahead of the fork, and the right-side caliper will be behind the other fork. It must also mean you are using two left-side fork legs, as the KH400 (at least mine) has the caliper mounts originally only on the left-side, while the right-side is smooth=no mounts. Is this the case, or have I put my foot in my mouth? ;D
