Pretty cool for the guys looking for oem. I bet brand new stock pipes would sound sweet too. No spooge to kill the tang... Those pipes WILL sound delicious! The reason being is they are duplicates of the early 69-71 (and H1c) with the larger baffles. The early H1s have a throaty howl (especially when thrashed) whereas the H1b and subsequent H1s sound tinny. J

Most chromers that I have tried won't even consider rechroming old 2 stroke pipes because they contaminate their tanks. They never come perfectly clean inside. I have 2 '70 H1s with pipes in need small repairs and chrome. I have had more than one estimate for repairs and chroming a set (not including the 6 clamps) and it will cost more than these repros.
A lot of guys would probably use my pipes as is and be happy with them. I will be getting a set of these repros when or if they are available and if they are as nice as the other pipes, I'll make them available.
KAWBOY. Who's the guy in KW? I would be interested in getting the pipes done for my H2. [/quote]
Andre, I'm having my KH pipes done at Gary's Custom Cycle in Ottawa. $1400 for the set, repairs and all. He didn't seem too concerned about the gunk inside but insisted that the baffles were removed. Come to think of it I think it was the glass he was concerned about.
