I agree Don as these were a 1 year only making them the most difficult to find!
Now If Andre sold these for $1800 that wouldn't be bad would it .. no extra fees etc .
On the other hand it is nice to see someone taking charge and getting stuff made ;D ;D ;D

I get asked for early H1 pipes quite often. Heck, I would buy them for my own H1. We sell a good number of Z1 and H2 pipes so I would think these would sell well too. We would probably keep a couple of sets in stock if they were available. We'll be moved into our new space in a few weeks with lots of space for more inventory.
You guys are right. Canadians who buy from us save $$ because we've already paid all of the taxes, customs and import fees. The Canadian dollar is pretty good at the moment too.

I said the same thing on KTW, I'd start production too if I had 200 confirmed orders at $1800 a pop...lol The tooling would be covered no problem!

The cost would probably be more than the bike was in those years.

The cost would probably be more than the bike was in those years. It is more than the bike cost new. In the US, the '69 H1 sold for just under $1000. The $1800 price tag is high for sure. I think part of he reason they cost more than the H2 or Z1 pipes is the construction. These pipes that we get from Doremi are 2 piece construction for the muffler with a seam on the top and bottom. The early H1 mufflers are one one piece pipes that are tapered at the front and I am guessing, more costly to produce. Just a guess. Most chromers that I have tried won't even consider rechroming old 2 stroke pipes because they contaminate their tanks. They never come perfectly clean inside. I have 2 '70 H1s with pipes in need small repairs and chrome. I have had more than one estimate for repairs and chroming a set (not including the 6 clamps) and it will cost more than these repros. A lot of guys would probably use my pipes as is and be happy with them. I will be getting a set of these repros when or if they are available and if they are as nice as the other pipes, I'll make them available. KAWBOY. Who's the guy in KW? I would be interested in getting the pipes done for my H2.

I'm sure you know Richard H, the "crazy Kawasaki Guy" from Waterloo? Call him for more info. He gets them done for his "collection", and what a collector I must say.
I got his number at home if you don't.
