No options. Your bike must be in neutral with the clutch out for the kick starter to engage. Best to go to the resource site to check how to properly setup the clutch actuator and cable slack etc. If your bike came out of storage, the clutch plates might be stuck. With the engine off, can you put the bike in gear, pull the clutch, and will it roll?

I hear what you say if i put in to gear the bike will not roll but with a bit of resistance yes meaning that the clutch is working but dosent have anough lever travel to roll properly ive read about screwing the screw in till rest is felt and then backing of 1/8 and also backing of 3/8 will try the latter and see how it works

This problem is usually because of sticking clutch plates. You may need to pry them apart.

If the clutch/bike has sat for a year or more, the plates squeeze all the oil out that sits between them and the clutch will not work. I would first try and tie the clutch lever in and let it sit for a few days. If that doesn't work, push the bike before shifting it into gear, and then drive it. Bring it into a higher gear once going and then brake hard while power is on. If this doesn't work you will need to pull clutch plates apart.
