Hi guys, is tan to dark tan the correct plug color after cruising for a while at 3-4,000 rpm? It's probably still on the pilot jet. Thanks, Doug

The colour you describe sounds about right .. there is a lot you can't tell about how the bike is running from the plugs. Unless you do a proper plug chop you are getting a kind of "average" which might be misleading. Remember to look ay the insulator more than the electrode.

I've heard a few different ways to read plugs but I've never felt confident doing it myself. What I do is go by jetting the carbs only. Start rich on pilots and mains and lean until the bike quits burbling.
