Lack of foresight on my part has me wondering. The Wanna B is an H1B engine in a 70 frame. I had a bracket welded on for the middle coil but the coil sits right behind the other 2 and beside the middle carb which has me worrying about a spark setting the whole deal up in flames. It has the big rubber boot on it. Question 1 : Would this be safe ?
Question 2 : I have a bunch of H2 coils which are far smaller. Could I use these or are they entirely different because of the CDI ignition on the H2 ?
Otherwise, are there any smaller coils that I could use?

The h2 are different they are for cdi. The upper bracket is such that the coil points down at about 50 degrees. I have seen lots of guys mount the third coil under the seat right behind the gas tank. Or you might be able To make use of the horn bracket. Brad A pic would help

The horn was mounted inside the frame on the early bikes. I moved it out front with a little bracket then turned the left and right coils to face forward and mounted the centre ine behind. Also facing forward. Hope it works

I knew the the horn was mounted inside and thought you might be able to mount the third coil there. Sounds like you got it sorted.

This is how Kaw did it for early H1 euro points bikes: Moped coils are smaller and cheap... be sure coil resistance matches points coils. H2 coils will not work.

Nice set up Dale. I managed to squeeze everything in with what I had and hope it works. Otherwise, I will go the other way and have a bracket made. Thanks

I think ebay offers the bracket mount.

I was wondering if I could just use the mount for the early CDI units. I have a bunch of those.

I ordered the special bracket to mount it back there. I want to be safe rather than sorry cuz I was worried about vibration on the third coil. It just means a bit of extra wiring to lead to the coil back there. I can turn the other 2 coils back around facing back now. Lots of room now.
