The kickstand on my triple was wobbly as hell and I thought it was loose . I put the bike up on the lift and found that the bolt or nut were not loose but that the frame hole that supports the kickstand was worn out . My solution was to grab a clear plastic thin lid off a box of screws I had in the shop . I cut a piece out to basically fill the opening to make a plastic sleeve that will not bind but will take the play out of the kickstand . According to the environmentalists, plastic lasts thousands of years so my kickstand will be a solid factory kickstand long after I and many others are dead and gone . I am also doing this trick with a few foot pegs that also have a little bit of play when the support bolt slides threw . Kick stand has a solid feel now as does the foot peg . Bolts slip right threw snugly . I may also try this trick on my wobbly kickstarter now that I think of it . Give it a try if you have a slightly loose bolt or support hole in the triple frame .

Most times the fork in the sidestand becomes opened up - a lot of vintage bikes that come into the shop are like that - quickly pop it off - into the press and give it a little squeeze, back together and it’s just like new again.

I thought you where going to say you used some gyroscopic bolt with a dab of kinetic grease and a pinch of pixie dust ... The using plastic answer I can understand just fine,, while that other thread really has me scratching my head LOL😊

I don’t need a side stand, I pressurized my frame with some kinetic energy.

Did that but it was the sleave that the swing bolt fits threw was worn . Squeeze all you want and it won't fix a thing 😋

Stuck a little environmental destroying pixie dust plastic on my shifter linkage also . Let's see how long that mod lasts . I might get a couple hundred tight shifts outta the crap
