I'm starting to work on my 2nd KH75 build but just as a recap here's the KV story so far...
After going to RB's for the 1st time in 2017 I knew that I NEEDED one so after returning home I began my hunt. 1st up I found a half complete '72, loaded it in my trunk and brought it home. Soon after I was gifted a '79 that was in parts so i smuggled it across the border..once again in my trunk. The border guard was really confused why a 6'3" guy would want mini bike parts... I managed to talk my way through the border. Know I had 2 semi complete KVs.. Enough to build 1 complete bike.
Franken KV..
After a little spit and polish...

Also while working on "Mango" I came across a 3rd KV that will be known as Peppe The Mule (If you've seen Romance & The Stone you'll get the reference).
Which leads me to today...I'm starting to build Peppe! I'm torn between building a triple powered KV but until I find a motor I'll continue with the 75cc

I finished the tank that will be used for Peppe. It's not perfect but for my 1st attempt at body work and also using rattle cans I'm pretty happy with the end result. Since it's just for a KV I can live with a few flaws.
1) I pulled out the gas cap neck with was denting into the tank. Also filled the tank with Evaporust for 24hrs to eliminate any rust on the inside.
2) Filled in the remaining uneven surfaces around the neck with bondo
3) Primed / wet sanded the tank
4) I've decided to go with the 2 part Duplicolor Metal Cast paint. It's essentially a metallic silver base with a candy clear. I was really impressed with how well this worked out.
5) Base coat (Metallic Silver)
6) 1st coat of Purple Metalcast Paint
7) A total of 5 generous coats and I had the exact purple that I was looking for. Apparently this paint has clear mixed in with it which help with the glossy appearance.
8) Wet sanded tank with 1500gritt and applied my custom decals. To the best of my knowledge I have the only H2A KV replica
9) Final clear. It ended up having a small orange peel texture which was a bit annoying but again...it's just for a minibike that I'll beat on so I'm not overly concerned.
