HI All, Well, the long term H2 project is finally running, just not too well. I have 34 mm round slides on now, they seem to be having trouble drawing as into the float bowls, and when they do they flood. Jetting seems normal, good compression, it has really big needle and seats (3.5) no vacuum leaks. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Adam

How's the tank vent? Do the lines drain when not attached to carbs?

I agree - tank vent. The motor is trying to overcome the vacuum of the fuel tank, pulling each other away from each other(if that makes sense) then it “lets go” and gives a big gusher (giggity) of fuel to flood it out

What fuel valve are you using ? STOCK ? Did you rebuild it ? IE: Replace diaphragm ? 4 Hole seal and all new filters ?

They're refering I beleive to the vent on the fuel tank. If you take the fuel cap apart you see what we mean.

Yes understood. From what I understand, and what Adam told us,he put a brand new NOS gas cap on his gas tank and the gas tank was in good condition when we painted it.I am sure he will cover all the bases and get it sorted out.

Invert the 34mm carb and set the float levers to center on the brass pin (in the aluminum "tower) that holds the needle jet from turning. This is an easy reference to getting very close to 24mm lever height, as measured from the gasket surface.
The stock fuel valve set to prime will free flow fuel. This is a good way to fill the bowls prior to starting.
When leaving the bike sitting be sure to select main or reserve. These positons only flow when engine vacuum is applied to the valve.
