Happy spring everyone! This tip may help you stay happy, an opinion I thought I should post:
Before even trying to start your triple engine, pull all three plugs, squirt a little dino in each cylinder and place a heavy clean rag over the plug holes. Give it a few kicks, throttle wfo. Next select 1st gear, clutch engaged start pushing the bike slow for a few steps, then speed up so the engine spins freely and fast. (have a helper to avoid cardiac arrest). After about 100ft check and see if excess oil, gas or both are being expelled out any of the plug holes. If rag becomes soaking wet or dripping it needs a few more pushes to clear the cyl's and cases to avoid rod damage. The mess will be noticeable, the engine and pipes will require cleaning up. If you don't use a rag the oil/fuel sprays all over the coils, wiring and underside of fuel tank. If basically dry (other than what you squirted in for ring lube) your good to try starting the engine.
Over winter my sons S3 had leaked fuel into bottom end, him shutting off the fuel would have avoided this situation. I could foresee this by the filthy yellowey stained centre carburetor. the case on #2 must have been full judging by the trail of fuel/oil down the street from the cylinder. The engine dripped and dripped so we pushed it three more 100ft stretches. Not a bad idea to add a little dino to each hole between pushes, altho I didn't bother.....

That`s excellent advice, it`s always good to save them old connecting rods at any cost, even cardiac arrest.
Good hearing from you.

Yup, great advice! I remove those check valves at the front of the engine to check every spring. Saved my bacon last year!
