Hi Guys My H2 seems too difficult to start when cold. No issues restarting on first kick after running. And the bike runs very well once it is warmed up Right now it may take 6 to 10 kicks to fire up. I have a new starter cable and I believe adjustment is fine. When the bike does start, the starter lever does not raise the idle speed much sbove the normal idle of1400 rpm. The exhaust pipe ends show some oil so I might have the carb settings too rich. I also may be flooding it ... Any advice please? Cheers

What's the history of your crank seals?

Jim, The crank seals were replaced about 18 months ago when the engine was rebuilt.

Jeff's suggestion sounds good. If your starter plungers aren't moving far enough, it will cause what you're describing.

Guys, just thought I would check with you on the proper installation of the starter cable. Which carb is the short cable connected to? Any other tips to make sure I get it on properly. Thanks.

Ok so I think I figured the cable routing out. I took the plungers out and cleaned everything/ I followed the manual for the adjustment procedure and its starting much easier. Thanks for the help Guys
