Wirges pipes and pod filters... I have 100's in now, but have 92.5's. I believe those are stock. Should I go back to stock?

Steves right, small steps. The question is, how does the bike act at wide open throttle when riding? Does it 4 stroke and bog down? Or does it still accelerate? I'm not talking about gently opening it up, what does it do when you whack it?

Btw. Theres lots of testimony regarding clogged baffles on wirges. Restrictive pipes will kill power. Some guys have drilled out the baffle end tip in the pipe itself with a long drill bit to improve flow. Or cut the pipe at the converging cone and get at it that way

Thanks for the input guys... I've never snapped the throttle wide open yet... I'll try it with the 100's?? Or should I go with the 93.5 and try..? Generally speaking I should go lower main jet size with pipes and pods.?

I dont do anything "generally" unless it's a totally stock bike. Even then you just have to tune the carbs based on the feedback youre getting. The resource site has good carb tuning methods. With good expansion chambers like wtfs, I've found larger main jets are necessary. I use 105s with vm30 carbs. I suspect your 100s are a good place to start as long as the pipes breathe. Start big and go down. Easy to replace a fouled plug. Not so easy or cheap to replace a holed piston. My experience w wirges on a 500 included stock pilot, needle and needle jet on stock vm28 carbs with a stock ported engine. You may need to play with the clip position on the needles to get some power in the midrange. Ensure: no carb air leaks and good carb sync before starting.

Great info givr thanks! I'll leave the 100's in and try em out. I've adjusted my clip position to the second from the top as my mid range was boggy.

+1 to what givr advises. Plus on the intake side an easy way to look at it is, with most pod application they allow more air to be ingested. More air relative to fuel means leaner conditions. My guess is you'll be going up in main size a bit.
