Hey guys,
Took my bike for its first ride yesterday and have a couple questions 1/4-3/4 throttle it's boggy. Where should my first adjustment be made? The clip position? The clutch engagement is really low in the lever. Meaning as soon as I release the lever bike moves, not sure if that's normal.
Thoughts?

However, carb sync & airscrew adjust should be correct first. The adjuster at the clutch lever should make enough change to suit your desires.

Ok
Clutch is better... thanks... I feel a little silly I didn't do that first...lol
Clip position moved up to position two from three.
Made it way better, however cruising up a long hill around 95-100kms it was very boggy... almost as though i needed to gear down. If I rip through the gears it responds well, it's when I linger Just past 1/4 throttle and before 3/4 throttle it Boggs... should I go up another position to the top on the clip? Or try something else?

If one clip position helped, there's no reason not to try another. Just listen for detonation and don't continue if you hear it.

Should I be concerned with leaning it out too much?

Yes, it doesnt hurt to be a little on the rich side, too learn can potentially damage your engine.

500's are boggy out of the powerband, or around 6000 rpm

The main jet size doesn't matter much until the throttle is nearly wide open. Take a look at the Mikuni manual on the resource site. There's a page with a good diagram showing where in the throttle range each carburetor circuit has most effect.
