Recent build and I have had it running.... but cold starting it floods quickly. Then I try wide open throttle and it burbbles longer but won't fire. Plugs are wet when I suspect the flooding. Right exhaust pipe has a hint of smoke coming from it. Any recommendations?

Do the carb overflow tubes spew gasoline when it's trying to run?

Maybe I misinterpreted your fist post. Is it not actually firing at all? I thought you were saying it's trying to run but stalling due to flooding, but maybe you mean it's not firing at all.
Have you removed a plug and laid it on the head to see if you have spark?

Hey Jim
I have had it running just a few days ago...
It has spark. I'll choke it full and kick it over until it burbles like it's going to start. Then no choke and kick. And it won't start, so back to choke and then it won't start. Pull the plugs they are wet. Rh Cylinder will smoke a bit out the pipe. No backfires.
Maybe I should choke it longer...? Thoughts.

Could two spark plug wires be reversed?

As Jim said, check to make sure plug wires are good, correct for ea cylinder. If everything else is good, timing, float level etc and you have a good spark on ea cylinder, then it should fire. When cold hold choke open kick until it pops to life, continue to hold choke untill it soulds like its going to quit then off choke and blip the throttle to keep it going and to get the richness out. Once warmed up, it should idle if all is set up correct. If this dosnt work, go over everything to make sure all is correct.?? Other than that, it should fire.

Thanks guys,,
Weirdest thing is that I have had it running....!
It ran fine. I think it fouled to the point that there's too much gas in the crank and it fouls the plugs when kicking. Or Fuel has leaked past floats into the engine...? I left the fuel valve in on position, not prime.
I have pulled plugs and kicked engine over about 50 times wide open throttle. And tried again. Soon as I choke it it fouls the plugs out and their wet. I've tried different plugs also. Timing is good.

When they get that loaded up you wanna pull plugs and push it around in gear throttle wide open. Kicking it will never get all the gas out. Skye
