Hi All -
I have my KH400 carbs apart for cleaning (at least I think she's a KH400 - Frame #S3F-27706 looks like an KH400-A3 but the engine, #S3E-21987, although it has a CDI ignition, seems to be from an S3A...).
On disassembly, I found no washers under the main jets and although the parts manual shows #16034-001 in that location, none of the carb kits I've seen appear to have said washer either.
Would someone be so kind as to let me know if it should be fiber or metallic and the approximate thickness? Or indeed, if it needs to be fitted at all?
Thanks and Regards, Brian

Brian - yes you need them and they are brass. I could probably caliper one for you tonight if that helps. I expect a steel washer would suffice, but I would definitely look for original brass ones.

Great - thanks for the info Zambia. Looks like the originals are still available so I'll snag a set. Wonder if that was part of the reason she ran so badly when I first got her..., along with the stripped head stud of course
