I have a clutch issue i want to remedy. The clutch works fine when the engine starts and until the motor has fully warmed up (say after 15-20 minutes of running). After that, shifting into neural requires more effort at stop lights and the play at the lever has increased (or feels that way). The clutch pull also feels much softer. When the motor cools, the play and stiffness seems to be back to normal again. Any suggestions on how I might determine the source of the problem? The clutch plates and springs are only a year old but I did not install them. Thanks, Dave

Thanks, Dave Dave - it's normal that a triple won't be easy to shit into neutral when stopped...get used to kicking it down while you're still rolling. As for it "softening" as it warms up, that could mean it's not adjusted quite right (cable too tight) and consequently it's heating up.

I wonder if you have Barnett plates. They swell with heat, particularly after a couple fast launches. That was the reason I built a hydraulic actuator 37 years ago.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Jim, the plates are from EBC I believe.
I will start by replacing the cable. There is very little adjustment left. I have a new Kawasaki cable ready to go.

The new cable and a clutch adjustment have made a significant improvement. Thanks guys.
