This seems to be a popular mod for the ZX900's. Has anyone heard of this being done on Triples? One issue may be the clearance of the top of the coils and the bottom of the tanks though. browney out

I've seen ones that were 5.5" long. Might fit. Issue would be do we have the right kind of signal for them?

We have a customer with a 1000 Connie that updated to stick coils, he says he really noticed a difference in low end performance as well as fuel mileage. He said the first season with them on the fuel mileage increase paid for the mod. Whether that is true or not, hard to say

I used gsxr coils on mine....there are super close to the tank, I'm gonna bang the tank in a little. But in the end it doesn't help you guys because the tank and frame are gpz.

I was wondering what the length of the stick coils are. Apparently there are 2 common sizes 130mm and 145mm. Would you be able to check the length on GSXR ones. The Honda CBR600 circa 2005 seem to be at 130mm length I have read. Also looking into it further these coils from different bikes have different resistances also. I wonder if the different resistaces would affect the CDI timing?I had resistance spark plug caps on my H2 once and it ran like crap. Still trying to figure if it is worth trying. browney out

I wonder if the different resistaces would affect the CDI timing? Not the timing, but possibly the spark intensity, and depending on the design of the CDI system, the longevity of the electronics could be effected.

I'll measure them for you, when I get home... I just bought a parts bike so figured what the hell, and I wired them in...if they don't work properly I'm not out any money

Don't they use the tiny 10mm sparkplugs?

They do, but the coils fit on my plugs nicely

Thanks for the info it's appreciated. Those look to be nice and short compared to others. Would you know off hand what the resistance is on them? browney out
