Thanks guys.The original fairing on the TD1c had an open bottom.The TD2 fairing had a bellypan.I have both fairings.This bike was last raced with a TD2 fairing so the original pipes were modified at the rear mounts & also wrapped at the front to get them inside the fairing without burning it up.They were further modified with hand made custom aluminum cans.The back side of the rear mounts have springs so the pipes can be removed in minutes at the track. Here is a pic. Brad

The pipes are original 1967 & hand welded.Not sure they had hydro form back then. Brad

The clamps on my new clip-ons were on the inside & would just touch the tank at full lock. I replaced them with a set of fully adjustable ones.Problem solved. Brad
