And real fun bike to ride naked ... Freekin hot today but around the County we seemed to stay cool . Nice neighbourhood walms bu5 with lotz of construction too. Got caught in a heavy rain storm and one of the fellas slid on the wet when the lead guy slowed a littld to fast and they bumped into each other . I fixxed up the guys bike for him so he cud ride home . No one could straighten his bent back brake peddle . So I grabbed my wheel lock and it fit perfectly onto the bent peddle as a pry and used my superior strength to straiten it out . No one gonna mess with me after bending steel like that lol ... Just leverage . not that much strength . Oh wait . I keep forgetting . I got old man strength . Good ride . Good group . Would ride with them again . Did 550 klms today ...

You know since the bunch of yahoos on all the 400 series highways on the long weekend , I seriously am thinking of hangin up my helmet and leaving my biking to track days . People are gonna have one serious hate on for a dude or girl on a bike . It's already a friggin dangerous hobby . I can attest to this everytime I ride . Within 5 mins of leaving my home , a car will try to kill me . It's like clockwork . I expect it so I am never surprised but one of these days , my number will be called and don't want to be in that line up of either disabled or unable to function as a normal adult due to an inury of a careless or hateful car driver . How many here can say they have been forced off the road by a car . I have lost count . For me its a big thrill to beat the odds and so far have been able to get out of sticky situations, but for the average rider , they would be toast . Also after this stunt gang , this will only make insurances company raise our rates even more because of a few bad asses . Should I put myself in with this group because of my riding style and abilties ? Perhaps but I would never perpously put myself or others in harms way . So maybe that's why it may be a good choice to hang it up . I parked my triple in 1979 and never rode it again until 2010 . So to do it again would make me sad but at the same time , the riding atmosphere is becoming too busy and too unpredictable and I am starting to feel the resentment from motorist , even on my Con . I do my best not piss drivers off but you know they hate it when you blast by them and there stuck in traffic . A bike made sense during the fake fuel shortage in the 70's but now even with a bike , ur stuck with the cars because passing and swerving around them will certainly add fuel to the fire for motorcycle hatred and people just plain tired of bikers scaring the livin poop out of them . My 2 centz

I really can't see blowback because of this incident. It's like hating everyone who drives a 1/2 ton just because one cut you off. With that said, my car was in the paint shop for a week and I was forced to ride my bike to work (Brampton), I did it 2 days and said fuk it, I told my wife I needed her car for the rest of the week or I was simply taking the rest of the week off. There is no friggen respect for bikes in the GTA, you are either brave or stupid to ride there! Too many a-holes. Seldom traveled country roads also have their issues but you can stay relatively safe if you are vigilant.

As someone who rides to work daily, that was the first thing I noticed getting on the 400 series highways in Ontario. Thought everyone was out to kill me when driving, would really not be keen to be driving a bike on the highways as a means of commuting.
On the flipside, not riding would kill me, so it's two from column A two from column B really....!

I notice the same thing up here on any given wknd and especialy long weekends when millions from down south invade our homeland, most of them are young A-holes, they dont know or care about the rules of the road. So during the short riding season its mostly wknds I can ride, and Im pretty much affraid to leave my driveway. City-its as we call em up here. Maybe it time to move farther north.
