That's an excellent find for sure. Looks like its all there. Even has the original factory pipes. And Walms thought it was tough to get 3 pipes under the belly without scraping the pavement. I always liked those compressed chambers.

Finding one of these, let alone for sale, would be nothing short of wining the lottery. I was told once, while seriously looking at a tz250, it could never be titled for street use in Ontario, apparently the mto has flagged these, knowing they are race bikes. But Im sure there would be a way around it, maybe as simple as modifying the serial# ?

It has been done in Ontario. In 1997 I went to look at an H2 that was for sale that an old acquaintance had. Beside the H2 was a TZ750 with a headlight that was out of my price range. I worked at Hindle then and Lang suggested I call Bar knowing he may be interested. Bar went over to Dicks and made a deal and a while later the guys from Cycle Canada Magazine did a multi page story on the bike. Some time after that I was at Mosport and Bar had the bike there for testing. It continued to have issues with one cylinder quitting, and after exhausting several possible solutions he left it and I think it is still in his collection today. Yes it was plated for the street. Cool read thanx for the link. But reads like a special was built using tz parts. Id be suprised if you went in with a tz anything serial#, that it wouldn't be denied street legal status head lights or not.

Well, it's actually a Spondon frame, so it probably has it's own frame number. Oh, and a Spondon is every bit as legit as a factory Yamaha frame... maybe more so. The only thing you might question would be the GSXR running gear, but, what the heck... it's a TZ!!
