Spent some time with this project today. I was quite pleased with the cosmetic aspects. Here's hoping the performance is equally successfull. A slide show for your pleasure. www.gooddealsrus.com/KH400/KH400Stator.htm

I'm impressed. How did you know the liquid would not damage the insulation on the windings? (or you took a chance on it?) BEFORE AFTER

How did you know the liquid would not damage the insulation on the windings? (or you took a chance on it?) Kind of shot the dice while wearing a blindfold Jim to be honest. Although I confess to corresponding with our own triple ignition expert Jim at Lakeland. He had mentioned he had some evaporust but had not gotten around to trying it yet. I was thinking a wire brush and manual labour, but I decided to take the plunge, as I said earlier. It did come out looking good, the test will be trying it in the 400 I guess. Enough of you guys pushed my fat ass around enough in the past, to know the low speed coil was toast anyway. Thats why I cleaned up this old spare, to try it in lil greenie. Fingers crossed.
