Have you guys even heard of these things? It would be cool to have something like this available here in Canada!

It seems they get all the toys over there! Little bikes will make a comeback, unfortunately they will be a anemic 8 hp 4 stroke if they do bring something like this here.

Yeah. A friend had an AR80 which he put a big bore on. I think it was about 103cc. His Father owned a huge bike shop, so it got "worked" on. In the UK, we were only allowed 50cc mopeds at the age of sixteen. So this thing was a rocket ship! I think it was capable of close on 100mph.
I rebuilt a friends AR125 which had holed a piston also. It had a unique induction system. A disc valve with reed valves on it. Each reed had it's own, tiny cage which was bolted to the disc. This was repeated all the way around the disc, and the whole thing rotated. I think the acronym was RRIS. Rotary, Reed, Induction System.

Yes. The lad who had it (Ian Dugdale) became a very good road racer, racing in the TT and Manx etc. Dugdale Motors has quite a history racing in the Isle of Man. Unfortunately, Ian died from complications with his liver I believe. He was only 27yrs old, but a pretty heavy drinker. I recall his Father calling round to see my Father shortly after and commenting, "Parents are not supposed to outlive their children.." Funny how things crop up and take you back years...
