So, I've been using the search, and have read a fair amount and I still have a few questions,
if I want the calliper on the left side like stock, I need a left side ex calliper? The earlier ex calipers are left side if I read correctly?
Do I need to modify my disc? Does anyone thin and/or trick out the discs like on moos bike?
I was planning on getting the ex MC as well, can I still run my stock brake lever? I'm going to be running clubmans.
Any other thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated! Pics too if you have this set-up
Cheers

If you get right hand caliper, you can just switch the fork legs & the caliper will sit behind the fork on the right.Take the chrome cover off & switch the disc to the right side.I think there plans for caliper mount brackets on the resource sight. If not talk to Walms.Pretty sure he as the plans. As long as you are using a single disc your stock master will do.

I' was hoping to keep the caliper in the same spot as stock.... Also what is the best pad for this set-up?

A right hand (behind the fork) ex caliper, is a left hand in front of the fork in the stock position. If that is what you want.IMHO it looks a lot better behind on the right.

Found some pics, and ya it looks way better behind the fork.... So I need to get a right side caliper, switch fork legs, get the bracket, and mount caliper behind fork on the right side... Correct? Cheers

you can switch the fork lowers and get a left hand and leave the brake on the left.

Ok, so now you have me scratching my head over this, as I'll be needing to get forks sorted out for my resto. What is the advantage of the EX forks and brake set up? Also, does the original mudguard fit right on?
Hmmm, now I'm super confused. Just checked out some pics of the EX500 and they show the disc on the left with the caliper behind the leg.

You don't need new forks, just a left side EX caliper and a mounting bracket. You flip your stock forks left-to-right and spin them around so the caliper bosses allow you to have a rear mounted caliper. The EX setup offers much better stopping power with a stock M/C and lever.

'kin marvelous! Thanks very much. Whilst on the subject, any idea what thickness to skim the disc down to?
Cheers
Bloody'ell, I just took a closer look at that drawing. The caliper is only held on by one bolt! I realise it is now "pushing" into the fork leg, but it kinda concerns me.
