Wow, my favourite H-1. Have never seen the red signal lights on the rear, wonder when they changed to amber.

Adam, those aren't the 'stock' signal lights or stems. In fact, signals were optional on the H1s until the H1B in 1972. The optional ones had an aluminum body, I believe, and were much more 'retro' looking. None were equipped with red lenses as far as I know.
The rear ones shown have also been moved backward by means of a crude looking bracket. I'm guessing to get them out of the way for use of a set of soft saddlebags.
