need a favour fellas, a guy has a pipe for my cr that I'd like to get and practice welding on but I need someone who's nearby to pick her up for me.... anyone able to do that? Googlemaps say he's near Lawson Rd and Port Union Rd... I've asked him if he'd ship but he hasn't gotten back to me so figured I'd post in the meantime EDIT: he'll ship but can I get some help? is this pipe repairable to a decent standard?

you can click on each pic then hover over the upper right corner of the new pic for a magnifying glass to enlarge it

What is all that junk stuck to it? It looks too thick and globby to be weld or braze filler. Is it Bondo? Anything can be repaired to look nearly new, but depending on what's already been done to that one, it may not be worth it.

its weld the guy said Jim (now who knows exactly but that's what he said)
I figured you'd need to dremel a section out of it and try flling the hole with a cardboard template then trying to form a sheetmetal piece off the cardboard??
seems the thing is these pipes are so rare that any pipe in any shape at all qualifys as a find and a half!

Buy it as it is and send it to Walms to have him design you a cone kit

Then, while your waiting for said cone kit, have him ship it back and you can dissect and repair that one.
You will find that the steel will be so fatigued it will be tough repairing it

Curtis, if you still need someone to pick up the pipe I'm working in Ajax and live up near Lindsay if that's any help.

I can't make heads or tails from their before and after pics but if they can make your pipe look good for $120, I'd be all over it.

The trick is to click on each little "before" image, and then the real photos pop up. I just got a lucky guess.
