I did the same with the H2 yesterday. I had 120 mains in it by going up 3 sizes by 5's rather than 2.5's. because of the results with the H1 with a step up of one extra size, I used 115's for the H2. it's a completely different bike now. pulls strongly, feels good. I could actually get used to an H2 after all.
The clutch makes huge noise still. I found another clutch basket with a decent bearing in it. I have an NOS big bushing too. Hopefully that will cure the god awful noise. BTW, the clutch works well just noisy as all get out.
Fun, fun ,fun.

OK Back to the H1. I lowered the needle clip back to position 3 from 2 to richen. It seems better but gurgles a bit at 1/3 to just past 1/2 throttle. WFO works great and off idle seems to have good power. So, can i work the air screws a bit, because I didn't touch them from the former needle position? Or, are they just for low throttle openings? I got new stock needles last year but not needle jets.
I am getting close on this one but want it absolutely right. Just for a change.

You can effect things a bit with an air screw adjustment, but that is actually using the wrong circuit to correct a problem. It sounds like some .5 mm washers for a half step on the needle might just do it.

Obviously, I'm not good at this, John. Do I need to richen further or lean just a half step with a washer under in the present position?

It sounds like you are a bit rich, so 2 and the shim will get you in the middle.

Well, it definitely worked. leaned it up a touch and it is much better. pulls in mid throttle position and still goes like stink in WFO. Now, I was getting a litle pi$$ed at this bike and thought, let it go and just keep the H2 for fun along with the ZRX. now, not so much.
I have new clutch parts for the H2 , bushing, thrust washers, bearing and basket so when time permits, I will change out the clutch and hopefully be rid of the god-awful clutch noise.
