I lived up there every summer for most of my life, and trust me they`ll avoid you like the plague, unless you inadvertently step on one, then, if you`re allergic to bee stings, then you`re pretty much pooched. I`ve maybe only seen 12 or so and most of those where road pizza. The local clinic stock anti venom.

I guess we were un-lucky then! Of course there will be no telling my wife that! She's convinced the place is just crawling with them.

She googled it and proclaimed that the spots in red were no go zones for the next cottage rental!

Although most of my cottage time is spent drinking beer on the patio watching the water front. Oh, and then there was the time my Father in Law dropped us off in Rattle Snake Harbour in some little island.

I'm more afraid of the little old Asian Lady armed with a Buick than any old rattlesnake. My roots are Owen Sound area, never seen one.

My grandparents had a cottage at North Kepple as well. I never saw one either. Probably the reason we won't be going back to the same cottage... Bad particular spot or just bad luck, I guess.

Well regardless of the whole snake issue, I`m in, with camera in hand in case I venture out and see one. But not likely, hard to see anything when beers are involved, you guys do like beers eh.

Well you passed the Canadian test EH? Breakfast beers, Manhattans then Martini's in the cultured world of triples. All followed by a stumbling after dinner snake hunt. The one with the most fang puncture wounds wins. Rob

My favorite spot at the cottage. Not a rattler in sight!

My favorite spot at the cottage. Not a rattler in sight! Once the pints and the Whiskey Fairy put you under the table you'll see them. Rob

Well Dave I finally got up the nerve to inform Nurse Ratchet that I will be kissing her a tearful goodbye on Friday May 30th for the weekend. She unfortunately reminded me that that is the weekend our company ( Yes we work in the same building) counts inventory. And only death or unemployment will get you out of inventory and I am in a hurry for neither. So unfortunately I am truly out Rob
