After rushing...lol...to get it ready for today's track day, I got a call yesterday informing me that it has been cancelled.... I got my gas tank back from the painter, it's the 3rd tank I've tried on the bike...fiberglass from 1967 doesn't hold up very well...We decided on Ford green...looks great in the sun... to keep with the 2 stroke theme, I put Oregon Chainsaw fuel taps on it....

Rick, how many bike you racing this year? That one looks light and fast! Two,..if my old body can hold out ;D ;D The 1988 Gsxr 750, the 250 Ossa...........my son has decided not to race the Kaw GPZ 550 this year, so it will likely sit idle..I thought I found a rider for it, but he had no place to store it between races..

Well...the fiberglass tank leaked, and I spent weeks looking for a replacement...and finally found one in my own garage It's a Kawasaki KZ 200 tank that came off a bike I bought in 1986. Fits nicely on the Ossa. So..Saturday I'm looking at it and decide to paint the whole damn thing...Sherwin Williams bright red acrylic enamel..I painted the whole bike with 8 ounces of paint..I think it looks better red....( looks orange in the pics)

Looks great Rick. Everything serves a purpose and there's nothing there that doesn't have to be. Must be pretty light. That big scoop must force a lotta cool air onto the front brake shoes.
The KZ tank is a great solution to the leaky fiberglass tank. Unless you knew, you'd think it belongs there.

Very nice bike Rick looks like your ready to be first on race day. When are you racing next and where? It would be cool to see that bike flying around the track. brawney

"Well...the fiberglass tank leaked, and I spent weeks looking for a replacement...and finally found one in my own garage " I wonder what other treasures you have buried in there! Looks great! Much better in red!!! Looking forward to seeing you guys at the Mosport Vintage Festival.
