I still call Rogers Centre the SkyDome, it will always be that for me. It will take a generation or two for the Mosport name to fade. no biggie.

Ya, it ticks me that these corporations have no regard for history. I "get" the need for bucks, especially for the "Mosport" owners, but come on! Have some sense of the past!! Why couldn't the Rogers people have named it the Rogers Skydome?? Or why couldn't the track be named Canadian Tire Mosport Park?? Ticks me off!!

Close.... Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Short-sighted bean counters!!!!! They'd garner so much more good will if they'd just have more regard for history. Sheeesh.

The only issue would be the new ownership not buying the rights to the name "Mosport" when the purchase went down. If that's the case, thumbs down to the previous owners for not including the name in the sale!!!! Ok, who else can I get mad at today??

Change is inevitable. Now you can buy your gas at the Canadian Tire station on the 401 and burn it on their track ;D ;D ;D It'll always be Mosport to me....just like Toronto Motorsports Park will always be Cayuga.... Drewski, the 3 guys that bought the track from Panoz kept the Mosport name for a little while....now they've brought in CTC and the rest as they say is History I wonder if they'll let us use CTC money to rent the track? ;D ;D Rick

I am pissed about this . I find this to be an insult to Stirling Moss who designed Mosport and I believe it may even be named after him . At least he has a corner named after him for sure . And guess what . It is my best ever favorite track to race a car on . My god !!! . If you want your stomach up in your throat then go down corner 2 or corner 4 or 8 for that matter flat out in a Honda Civic or a Corvette . It doesn't matter . It is just the most fun and fastest racing track in the world . Go to hell CT and take your crappy tire products with you !!! I met this man quite a few years ago . What an honour . I also won The Stirling Moss Award for Most Successful Driver in Canada in 1985 www.stirlingmoss.com/
