I owned a '74 H2 back in '77 but I sold it at the end of that same season. I immediately regretted the decision, but it was done! Ever since that fateful day I've wanted to find another one. Family took priority though, and my biking dreams had to be put on hold! Finally, 2 1/2 years ago it was time! ;D I found a '74 H2 much the same as the one I had in '77. I snatched it up and began work that winter. What you see is the progress to date. It's mostly stock looking, but there have been a number of mods performed on it. I know the purists out there will cringe when they see stock H2's modified, but I like to try to improve the breed without destroying them! You decide if I was successful or not! I had a problem with the right cylinder barrel... it wouldn't come off! Had to paint it. I decided to go with the only REAL Kawasaki colour! I think it turned out o'k!

I like it a lot! ;D Is the Kawi lettering on the tank a decal or is it painted? Clean pipes makes it look great too....

Thanks!
The decals are from reproductiondecal.com in London. ON. They are replicas of the originals but in a custom colour. They are all black with the green paint showing through. The people there went out of there way to help me and they were so prompt! They emailed me the same day with multiple samples of custom colour combos!
The pipes look a lot better! It's just a rattle can job, but it woks for now. The paint is already coming of in places.
I'd like to replace the pipes. Any suggestions?

Hey...I've seen that bike!
A buddy from work was getting some work done on his car, he phones me and says "Ian, you're not gonna believe it - the place I'm at right now, the guy's got one them noisy bikes exactly like yours."
So I drive over to investigate, and viola! Nice bike...PHR work on the engine rebuild and a nice Ninja front end, if I'm not mistaken. Any pix of the front end?

Hey Ian,
Ya, I'm the E Test guy! I remember you and your buddy dropping in that day! I expected to see your bike last summer but, alas, I didn't! Don't be a stranger!
The engine was rebuilt here but some of the parts did come from PHR. They were great to me! It's a stock bore engine with stock carbs. Just K&N's and pipes!
The front end is off my KZ1000, but the rim is an aluminum Sun 2.75 x 18" laced to the KZ hub.
The rear is an aluminum Sun 3.5 x 18" laced to the stock H2 hub.
I'll get some other pics soon!

IMO-Stock paint stinks, except for 69 H1 and 72 H1B paint. That's a keeper, nice work.
