I wish I could convince Jerry to lose the fairing though... Not that I don't like the look with the fairing, it's just without, it looks nasty!! ( in a good way

Well sumer is almost gone and it's once again time to get to work on my project. Ja-Moo has my cylinders and heads, Ari has my stator and I have a couple of electrical parts from Oregon on the way here as well as a set of carbon mufflers from Jim Hobbs, thanks for the connection Andew. I just about finished getting my lights and dash wired up, I had to make a wiring harness from scratch as I do not have one to rip apart.Once I have a completed harness, I'll have it wraped. And now thanks to Walms, my next piece of the puzzle is about to start I will kep posted as the pipes progress.

No. I'm going to tack them together and have a friend, who is a welder by trade, Tig them together for me. I know it's cheeting, but I know my limits

I can weld ok but they are not the nicest looking welds. Heavier steel I found was easiest like fairing brackets and the like, but this smaller gauge stuff I know I'll mess up and it"s a one shot deal here. And just to bring up nthe paint and no paint discusion again, I do wish the mop and glow would work here but due to the plentiful amount of fogg here, I would be applying it every day, so I guess black paint it is.

...I do wish the mop and glow would work here but due to the plentiful amount of fogg here, I would be applying it every day, so I guess black paint it is. I have not found Mop and Glo to be hurt by water. After all, it's a liquid floor "wax", so it has to withstand exposure to water. You can try it, and if you're not happy, take it off with ammonia and then paint. I think I'm up to about 2-1/3 years on my Mop and Glo and it's still fine, and it has been in the rain a couple times.

My carbon mufflers from Jim Hobbs should be in the mail to me by the 1st of the week. I also sent my fuel tank to Roc City Cafe Racers to be used as a temp plate for one of his aluminum GP tanks. Ha makes them by hand. You should check out his site as he makes lots of custom aluminum pieces either to suit what you need or "off the shelf" pieces. My stretched orginal tank fits ok but just dosen't seem to flow with the fairing or seat. Good point on the mop and glow Jim. I think I'll try it and if it dosen't work I can always clean it off and then paint it. Ja-Moo should have my cylinders and heads done this month or next, so it looks like things are finaly starting to come together, at least slowly but in the right direction.
