I'm also trying to reinforce the areas that carry the most weight like my seat needs reinforcing at the rear. Strange, something is bending the very tail end of the seatpan down so it touches the fresh paint on my tail/trunk/cowel thing. I wonder what it could be? My backpack isn't that heavy..... ;D your bike looks really cool. I like your lift too, my buddy Sean was suppose to make me one just like it. MAybe I need to drop off more beer. Think it will help? hes a real procrastinator, but I'll tell you about that another time More beer can't hurt, oh wait a minute, yes it can!! ;D

Thanks bolly. I agree with Ari. I think that seat pan was the worst part of the whole project!

Thanks Mike, I got the safety inspection done and got the bike registered and insured. I took it for a rip last night. Raising the needles has helped the bottom end bogging but I still have to install the 14 tooth sprocket. I kept the rpm below 6000 as the engine needs some break-in time. I'm still running a 40-1 pre mix along with the oil injection just for added safety until I get it all sorted. After JA-Moo posted last week about his findings regarding the wrist pin bearing use with Wossner pistons I was worried that I might have the OEM style bearings and they would be too short and cause a failure. www.kawasakitriplesworldwide.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=61183&hilit=wossnerI was going to pull 1 cylinder off the check but instead I removed 1 carb and intake manifold and ran the piston up to TDC and had a look at the bottom of the piston and wrist pin bearing with a dentists mirror. My bearings came with the rod kits I bought and they appear to be the same as the Wiseco ones. I could not get a picture but even with the 22.5mm bearing there is still quite a bit of room (4-5mm) for the bearing to move side to side on the wrist pin because the wrist pin opening in the piston is much wider than the OEM pistons.. I appears that even with the bearing all the way to one side of the piston opening, the wrist pin is still supported fully by the rollers of the bearing. It would be better, in my opinion, if the bearing was about 3-4 mm longer even than the 22.5mm Wiseco style. Another issue I still have to deal with is the front brake. It squeals so loud it is embarrasing. I have an EX500 caliper and mounting adapter and I'm going to try to get that installed. That single piston front brake did not inspire much confidence anyway. I hope all you guys have a great time at Don's place this weekend, I hope one of you will hoist a beer for me.

Zambia says there is a product form CT that will get rid of the squeal . My brakes also offer no confidence but they will have to do for this summer . I push a little harder on tyhe back one We will hoist a pint to you and all who could not make the trek to TIPS !!! ;D ;D ;D Have fun with the bike . Looks great .
