the very start of my kawasaki street tracker triple, engine is ready to go. ill have to cut and weld the rear section to get the z1 tail to work, and have yet to fabricate a seat. no bells and no bling for this bike when im done. no signals, 1 mirror, no tack, no chrome, maybe a trail tech computer. flat/gloss black paint scheme, and knarly flat track tires. started as this(for too much money) and a fresh-ish hillclimber motor i dug out of out motor shed before we sold the kawasaki dealership. finally got a set of uni pod filters from out east. set up a light that says"hey dummy your ignition is on" so i dont drain the battery anymore as the ignition is ran off of a hidden switch. going to dig few all of my NOS kawi parts, im pretty sure i say a rectifier in there for it and possibly a new rear sprocket. some of you might know if the rectifiers are inter changeable? this bikes rectifier plug in is a multi-pin plug, the new one i have has all the wires as singles.
ive tracked down ownership of the engine to the first guy. it was a hillclimber in the mid 70's, hence the reason it has been ported and cleaned up. he still has all the plans to build chambers for that very engine! and is willing to give me a hand in building some!
very cool, hes an old family friend.
i have a feeling ill be riding it around town sooner then ill have it legal !!

Awesome!
Are you having the chambers built for it or keep it looking semi stock

well for anyone following, ive only got a few things more to do, Rr sprocket/chain and paint the gas tank when i get it back from the sandblasters. going to paint the tank satin black, leave a dent in it for character, and leave some knee panels like the old husky's in clearcoated raw steel.
ive decided to put the stock speedo back on with a subtle handlebar mount. i dont need any more reason to be pulled over.
hidden the wiring a little more, hacked off some uneccesary frame mounts.
Ah and got rid of them crappy stock pegs for some moto pegs!
maybe next week ill get to ride it! and ill post some pics, good ones this time.

keep us updated Soop ! Pictures are good, I am the worst one of all for pictures. Hell I think Brawney was the only one to really know I had a triple until my first Paris Do.
