What is the best oil to use in the H1 gear box? Roadracing only.

Funny, I came across some old Dealer Assembly manual, the ones the Dealers had for PDI-ing the bikes. The factory said to fill the transmission with ATF (F) fluid? My Kawi service manual says 10-30? Anyway that gear saver seems to be the choice of Racers so I'd go with that. I guess the type F ATF was developed because Ford had some issues with the reverse clutch slipping, so I've heard. Ford, leave it to them to fix the oil and not the issue. Long live the Powerglide.
Att: Rick Y- BTW, I was yakking about this ATF thing on US site and I mentioned these manuals. Some yank offerd me 100 dollars for the H2 and the H1 books, so I sold them LOL. I'll drop in someday soon, I have some other goodies from Wayne for you as well.

I ran ATF in my h2 for a few years...always made me nervous(seemed to run noisier too me) so I switched back to my old staple 10w30.

Gear Saver is awesome..quiet, smooth shifts etc., and at the end of the season, it comes out nice and clean..so it must be reducing wear.

think I'll try some gear saver next season. I noticed my clutch is starting to slip at about 7000 now even after adjusting, could be it's needing replacement too
