What does a guy do on the coldest day of the year, you may ask ? Why go pick up another bike. Alittle salty from the ride from Stouffville to here but now I have a bit more to do. 1973 RD350. Oh yeah, once burned, twice shy. I took off the right side cover before the ride. It took the trip in the back of the car. He says it needs points only and a caliper. The paint is wrong and then maybe I can talk Debbie into applying more decals.....

An interesting bit of jury rigging. Dodge, I think , coils under the right side cover and Dodge ballast resistors under the tank to reduce voltage to the coils. Probably would have been easier to buy Yamaha coils.....

Have you been in touch with Brampton Dave, aka YPVS, the last time I heard he moved up your way. He'd have any parts and or tricks for that RD.

I just wish that insurance companies were not such bandits and I could keep all of them and ride them. As it is, I sell them and move on to another project. Far easier to finance each new project though.....

They are so hard to sell, every frigging time I let a bike go I end up kicking my self in the ass for doing it, its so hard to pry bikes out of my hands but its getting ridiculous in my garage, its 13x20 a standard size garage, I have a Harley sportster, 2015 Indian scout,1999 Kawasaki Drifter, 1982 first gen Katana 750, 73 RD350 and a 76 KH500 and then I have a 76 and a 74 RD350 and 400 in another shed in the back yard, but honestly I'm terrified of selling any of them because I know I'll be upset with my self, not sure if I'm a hoarder, collector or a fool. its like if I sell one I start thinking I'm never going to get another one again, ever.
I am going to sell the sportster, no problem, the drifter if I sold that the wife would so kick I disagree that is her favorite bike.
Dave I wish I was like you and would be able to sell bikes to fund other projects.

Finished the paint this weekend. I left them to dry Saturday at the local garage who is nice enough to let me use his space. Sunday someone moved the parts to use the hoist and there are scratches on the tank. I'm a little on the peeved side. Hopefu;;y I can buff them out. Famous last words.....
