I bought this back in the 1900s. 1978 I think.My first. Learned that 10 W30 was not acceptable as 2 stroke oil. Dumb kid. Bought an H-2 and parked the S-1 in 1983. Rode the H-2 until I sold it about 10 years. Now I can get the 250 going I thought. Sitting for 35 years was not good for it. Some rust and some rot. Kicked the mice out of the pipes and started cleaning. New plugs, points, condensers and pilot jets. Carbs were gummed up something fierce I’ll tell you. My bad of course. Seat pan edges were rotten. Welded in new metal and smoothed out with epoxy. Applied new seat cover in my own special way. Had Rick at Redline sandblast and epoxy prime the tank and tailpiece. Bought a spray gun and accessories and started squirting. A 1 gallon compressor is not the best but it worked. Filled the tank up with fuel and found out the seam above the left cylinder was leaking. Took me a year to fix that. At least it is running. Gotta go. Will add more later. Glad to be back here again. Peter
