Besides one post in the "Latest Purchase" thread I haven't talked about this bike much.
I can't take ANY credit in this bike because we bought it exactly how it's shown. The previous owner did an amazing job restoring the bike after which it was stored indoors for the last 8 years. We found the bike for sale at Paris when Rachel came up with the wonderful idea to purchase it (I have the best girlfriend ).
Since it was stored indoors the previous owner disconnected the fuel system to make it safe for indoors. Last Saturday I finally got around to pulling it out of storage and start working on the bike to get it running again.
Everything was going great until I discovered 2 fuel leaks. 1 was coming from under the fuel tank from the fuel gauge sending unit and the 2nd was coming from the fuel line that connects the pump to the carb. I was able to fix the 1st leak and for the 2nd I need to source a new fuel line as they use pressure fittings. I should be able to find what I need on Summit Racing.
EITHER WAY...I was able to turn the engine over and hear it run...and boy oh boy let me tell ya. That bike sounds GREAT!
Bringing the bike home..unfortunately the weather was not on our side
Brought it to a show back in August where it won 1st place for peoples choice.
Working on the bike over the weekend
Had to swap out the plungers in the carb
Found a missing ground wire from under the tank

That sounds like a cool project..hopefully you can figure out the picture situation soon. There should be a thread on a KTC image hosting site that North made for us to use.

Worked on the bike a bunch over the weekend and got it running..even managed to sneak in a test ride.
Next to trying my hand on a speedway bike this was the most nervous I've been try ride something...partly because of it's suicidal reputation and partly because of what the bike is and I'd better not F' it up. Either way I was really surprised with how easy it was to ride. Mind you I wasn't hammering through the gears but I was able to wind it out in the boost range. Never in a million years did I think I would EVER get the chance to ride one of these so I savored every moment I had on the bike.

You are a lucky fellow, not too many of these around even when the dealerships put them together, from what Ive read not a big seller, I think they were a dealer option. I remember one at a dealer in St Kits off Ontario st, back in '79, big bucks, a collector bought it, I wanted it sooo bad!
