Hey guys, I have a '74 S3 that I'm working on. I have an EBC clutch tool that I got from Fortnine. According to the listings the proper tool is a CT004. The tool I got has "CT004" etched in the side of it, but it does not fit. I'm wondering if the listing is wrong, or the tool is marked wrong. Does anyone have an EBC clutch tool that fits an S3? If so, could you please check the part number for me? Thanks.

I contacted Fortnine. Seems the listing is wrong. It should be CT058, unfortunately they don't carry it. It's listed on Amazon, but they are out of stock. Does anyone have any ideas? Can anyone verify that a CT058 will work on an S3?

Are you replacing the clutch plates ? If so just take one of the old steels and weld a handle onto it If you can’t wait and are not replacing the steels put a penny between the gears so the motor can’t turn over. The copper will bend and discord without hurting the gears and hit the nut quickly with an air gun

Thanks for the responses. I've had it off and back on once, using an impact. (only broke one clutch hub in the process) I need to pull the shift shaft out (again), and I figured the job would go easier with the proper holding tool.
