Right on! I'll have to look that stuff up.
Here's what I've been using. So far it's worked great. We typically don't have to scrub but for areas with heavy grime like the front sprocket a little elbow grease never hurts.

Got the freshly rebuilt caliper finally installed. Took a little bit of finagling with that solid front brake line but after a couple light tweeks I got it to fit into place.
The new pegs are now assembled and ready to go on
The wheels / Brake hub finally came back from powdercoaters. Began to do a trial fit of all the parts before sending off more pieces to zink plating. I'm really quite happy with how everything is looking with this part..I was a little curious about keeping the mag wheels but so far the seem to be working. WE had to fit a 120 rear tire down from the 130 that caame with the bike. This was to clear the center stand and get rid of the fat look.
After ordering 2 of the wrong bearing kits for the front wheel and quite of bit of research on bearing sizes it was discovered that our "KZ400ltd" wheel was actually from a Kawsaki GPZ305 ... I think. Either way it's the same OD bearing size. However the ID is different for the KH axle so we had to special order as 6003D bearing for the front wheels to accommodate both e rim and the axle.

The bike is now aboot 97% complete. Just waiting for a couple parts to come back from Zinc so I can do a final assembly of the rear end.
I am looking for 2 things though... the small filters that go onto the petcock. I went to take a couple spares from the H2 but turns out they are a larger diameter than the KH400.
In the meantime...I still managed to get all the fuel lines with filters mocked up..
Kickstand was stripped and re-coated at work
New front Sprocket and O-ring chain installed
Sprocket cover, new shift assembly and new foot peg also installed for the final time.
Miraculously most things have been going really easy and smooth with this build..which was a BIG relief from my H2 that was riddled with previous owners hack jobs mistakes.
So far the biggest issue I've run into with this bike is the front wheel assembly. I was told that the wheel came from a KZ400ltd so after ordering 2 different LTD bearing kits (both of them wrong) it was off to the local kawi shop to talk to their resident mechanic and search parts microfeshe to track down the correct wheel bearings. So the OD was the same as a GPZ305 however the ID was different to accommodate the KH400 Axel. No big deal... The new bearing came in and fit perfectly. The next problem was that a previous owner butchers the inner bearing spacer so I had to whip up a new one to the correct dimensions and squared faces.
I also had to lathe down the axle spacer to fit with the new dust seal (which did not come on the bike).
And the finished result.... Rachel was so proud of herself as she helped me bleed the brakes for the 1st time. to my relief both the rebuilt MC and Caliper worked great and so far no leaks have developed.
If all goes to plan then the next update will consist of final assembly of the rear end and start of the bike for the 1st time since beginning this project.
