That bike puts mine to shame. = ) I agree with your choice of master cyl. There’s an H1 unit I’m slapping on mine for the same reason. Good vid. Showed my wife the media blaster and it’s use. She ok’d one. I’ll wait till it’s in place before explaining we’ll need a bigger compressor.

I like your style. When you get your sandblaster make sure to use glass bead as it's aluminum friendly.

Well...She's starting to look like a bike again! We got all the body work back from paint and I must say it looks awesome! I was given strict instructions not to show anyone until the bike is done so I apologize for no pics. Rachel wants to keep it a surprise for the bikes "Big Reveal" ...happy wife happy...life In other news I've continued picking away of other things. We've ordered a bunch of new parts including, wheel bearings, brakes, chain/sprockets/ battery, shocks and a new center pipe. The rims have been completely stripped down and sent off for some fresh powder coat. I figured it was also time to mount the controls. It's hard to tell but we added gold washers to all the front hardware to accent the paint. I mounted the tank to test it out and when the light hits it...WOW. The new shocks arrived...They'll still undergo a full cleaning to get rid of any remaining rust. And now the new center pipe..just a little nicer eh... Another problem we faced was mounting the front turn signals. Since this bike has aftermarket fork ears and headlight the original KH400 signal stems with the elliptical shank would not work. We could have ground down the shank to make it round but that doesn't fly with me. What I ended up doing was order a pair of KH100 Stems off Ebay that have a short round shank after the threads. The plan was to mount them through the existing holes in the fork ears. Since the diameter of the shank was smaller than the holes I machined two bushings that recessed into the fork ears and also take up the remainder of the shank. ..and of course gave them a quick polish to match.

Looking good, your lady `ll be proud of her bike I`m sure. How come you only painted half the master cap, it looks that way in the picture....

Thanks guys! The videos definitely slow down the build as they take longer to do than the work itself but I figured it's a cool way to document the build and it's fun to do. Shiloh....We only painted half of the cap to save weight..as this is a high performance machine ....it's actually just the way the sun hit it through the window
