Hi guys, I've owned a LOT of bikes, but am way too lazy to do anything like a project log for any of them. I'm getting quite upset that ballvo is upstaging me at all of our local bike club meetings, so I decided to put up a build log of my '70. There is a bit more to the story of how this bike is cleaned up than meets the eye but that's a story for another day. So the number one rule when it comes to restoring bikes is to start with the best possible example of a bike, that is mostly complete and has all the bits you need. I took that to heart and found a bike from an old kawasaki dealership that had shut down. The bike had been stored in the back room, in quite a state of disrepair, but had tar poured on it when the roof was redone. So here's how the bike started: I've got my work cut out for me, but hope to have it back as a rolling restored chassis by the end of the summer.
